    Mrs Zuhura Sinare Muro was appointed to the KCBT Board in July 2011. Mrs. Muro holds a Bachelor of Arts & Social Sciences from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and a Postgraduate Diplomas in Management and Entrepreneurship Development.  She is currently the Managing Director of Kazi Services Limited which provides HR solutions, management consultancy, and executive selection services in Tanzania. She has rich experience in Organizational Development, HR management, training and motivational speaking.  Before founding her own business, she was the Head of Human Resources for Celtel Tanzania Limited (now trading as Airtel) from 2001 until May 2007.

    Mrs. Muro is one of the founding trustees of Africa Leadership Initiative East Africa Foundation and is currently serving as its Executive Secretary. The Foundation is engaged in developing value-based leadership in East Africa. She is a fellow of Aspen Global Leadership Network. Mrs. Muro serves as the Board Chairperson of Mwananchi Communication Limited in Tanzania, member of Nation Media Group in Kenya, and Board Secretary of Arusha Modern Schools Limited.

    She joined the Board in June 2003 (Representing Permanent Secretary Treasury). She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hon) from University of East Africa (Nairobi), a Diploma in Tourism and International Relations, a Certificate in Public Finance (University of Connecticut) and a Certificate in Budgeting (Havard). She has served in senior positions in Government rising to the position of Investment Secretary, Ministry of Finance. She is currently the Chairman of the Bank's Human Resource and Remuneration Committee and a Director of KCB Uganda.

    He joined the KCBT Board in March 2010. He holds a Master’s degree in public policy and administration from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, WI USA (1977) and a Bachelor’s degree, with honours, in economics, management and administration from the University of Dar es Salaam (1973). He is currently Chairman of the Fair Competition Commission, member of the Tax Revenue Appeals Tribunal and CEO and Lead Consultant at Kasuto Company Limited. He has been external director of many companies including the former state-owned National Bank of Commerce.

    Nehemia Kyando Mchechu joined the Board in July 2011. He holds Bachelor Degree in Commerce and Management from the University of Dar es Salaam. He further qualified for ACI-Financial Market Association. He is currently the Director General of National Housing Corporation. Before joining National Housing, he worked as the Managing Director and CEO of Commercial Bank of Africa Tanzania Limited. He has also worked with Barclays Tanzania and Standard Chartered rising to the senior management roles. He is the Director and founding member of CEO roundtable of Tanzania. He is also a director of the Presidential Trust Fund and Chairman of Rightways Schools. He is a fellow member of the ASPEN Fellowship of USA as well as African Leadership Initiatives; East African Chapter. He also serves as the Chairman of Audit Committee.

    He was appointed as the KCB Group CEO on January, 2013. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Bank prior to his appointment. He holds a Masters in Business Administration with a distinction in International Business Management from Edith Cowan University, Australia (2011), Bachelor of Commerce Degree, Accounting Option, from the University of Nairobi, Kenya (1997), Advanced Management Program Graduate from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France (2010). He is also a graduate of the Program for Management Development (JuMP), Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, North Carolina, USA (2006) as well as a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya, CPA (K), School of Accountancy, Strathmore University, Kenya (1997). He is a Board member in KCB Bank Tanzania Board and sits in the Risk, Credit, Human Resources, Procurement, Transformation, Strategy and Information Technology committees.

    John Nyerere is a HHH (Fulbright) fellow and holds an MBA, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Economics, MBA General Management and Bachelor of Arts Economics and Sociology. He lectures on business management at the United States International University. He has experience in corporate planning, operations management and transformation leadership and his key technical competencies include strategy development and economics.

    She joined the bank in May 2010 as a Legal Manager. In July 2015 she was appointed Company Secretary and Head of Legal for the Bank.  She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B Hons) from Tumaini University in Iringa, Tanzania and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI). She has attended various advanced courses and workshops in legal management, banking and finance, corporate governance, leadership and human rights. She is a qualified lawyer in Tanzania and registered as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania. She is a member of Tanganyika Law Society and East Africa Law Society. She also serves as an alumni and member of the Canadian Human Rights Foundation.

    Barry brings on board banking knowledge gathered over 17 years. He previously worked for 6 years in various operation units within Citibank before moving into corporate sales and relationship management. Barry then progressed to be a Senior Relationship Manager in Citibank and afterwards joined Standard Chartered Bank. In Standard Chartered Bank, he worked as a Head of department where he accepted the challenge of leading and growing the portfolio of financial Institutions and government relationships. Barry holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and Master of Business Administration (Finance).

    He was appointed Head of Retail Banking KCB Bank Tanzania, on 20th January, 2014. He has over 20 years’ experience in banking having worked in both Retail and Corporate Divisions at Senior management roles. Prior joining KCB in 2007 he worked with Cooperative Bank of Kenya where he joined as a management trainee. He holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management from University of Nairobi and Bachelor of Commerce from Kurukshetra University.

    He joined KCB Bank Tanzania Limited in August, 2010, from Bank of Baroda (T) Ltd where he worked as their first Risk Manager and established the Risk Management Function. He also worked for EXIM Bank in Credit department for several years before joining Bank of Baroda where he successfully established the Risk Management Function. He also worked with Tanzindia Assurance Company Ltd as Credit Controller before starting his banking career. He has more than Six years banking experience mostly in Credit, Investment, and Risk management. He is a graduate in B.Com in Finance (Hons) from the University of Dar Es Salaam, MSc. in Accounting & Finance from Mzumbe University, and is an associate member of the Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB) as a Certified Professional Banker (CPB). In sports, he likes and plays football.

    She joined KCB Bank in August, 2009. She holds an MBA from East and Central Africa Management Institute (ESAMI). She is also an Economist graduate from Aligarh University – India. Before joining KCB she had worked with Exim bank (T) Limited in various capacities and left the bank as the Head of Marketing and Communications also heading corporate sales. Before Exim Bank she worked with International Communications Systems Limited as Senior Marketing & Sales Executive also heading hard ware Unit and InfoTech Computers Limited as Marketing & Sales Executive.

    Colman possesses over 9 years’ experience in both Internal and External Audit. He began his career with Deloitte where he worked as a Senior Auditor for 5 years. He was responsible for conducting various external audits in financial institutions, oil, gas, manufacturing, telecommunications and public sector projects. He then progressed to Barclays where he worked for 4 years as an Audit Manager under Barclays Africa Internal Audit. He was responsible for executing internal audit assignments across ten countries. Colman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a Certified Public Accountant.

    Joyce Joined KCB Tanzania in July 2013. She is a certified Human Resource professional with a wealth of experience gained in the financial services industry. She began her career with Barclays Bank Kenya in 2003 as a Management information systems analyst, supporting Operations, I.T and Retail units. Her human resource career took off in 2006 when she moved to Human Resource Division, Barclays Kenya as a Human resource Coordinator. She rose to middle level management gaining a wealth of experience in human resource acquisition, manpower planning, learning and talent development. In July 2009 she moved to KCB as Senior Manager- Learning and Development where she helped to charter and deliver broad based training needs and staff development programs. She was a key staff in the conception and delivery of organizational culture change and management programs for the KCB Group, facilitating the programs in the Bank's subsidiaries in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and South Sudan. Joyce holds a degree in Business Management from Kenyatta University; a Post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management (Kenya). She has undertaken professional studies with International bodies such as CIPD (UK), Deloitte Development Institute (USA), ROI Institute, BPS (British Psychologists Society and testing center) among many others.

    He has 16 years banking experience, 14 of which have been in credit related roles both covering credit management and relationship management. He joined KCBT Limited from I&M Bank Limited where he was the Head of Credit. He previously worked in various operations and client relationship roles with CFC Bank and Co-operative Bank of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Mathematics & Chemistry) from the University of Nairobi and an MBA (Banking and Finance) from Moi University. He is a qualified Associate of the Kenya Institute of Bankers and has attended various professional courses.

    He joined KCB Bank Tanzania in January 2014 as the Head of Risk Management. He has over 13 years in Senior Management roles in Audit, Accounting & Risk. He previously worked for NBC Limited, PwC and TPC in various Capacities. He is an Associate Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (ACPA ‘PP’) and Certified Risk Management Specialist recognized by International Academy of Business and Financial Management (IABFM), he also holds Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from the Institute of Finance Management an affiliate of the Open University of Tanzania (Tanzania), University of Avinashillingham(India), Strathclyde University (U.K), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) – (India) and Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) – Ireland.

    He joined the bank in April 2005 as the Treasury Bank office manager at KCB. He previously worked with Stanbic Bank, Standard chartered Bank and Diamond Trust bank for more than 5 years. He has a B`COM accounting Degree from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and MBA Finance from Open University on Tanzania. He has attended various advanced courses and workshops in banking and finance. He has over 15 years’ experience in banking industries holding various positions.
  • Godfrey Ndalahwa Godfrey Ndalahwa HEAD OF FINANCE ×


    He joined the bank in May 2013 as head of finance and later on in April 2015, was appointed as Non-Executive Director for KCB Burundi. He previously worked for Barclays and NBC Limited holding different executive roles in the area of internal audit, strategy and financial management. Prior to join the Banking Industry, He worked for Deloitte and Coca-Cola Sabco. Godfrey is certified public accountant and holds Bachelor of honors Degree in Commerce from University of Dar es Salaam and has attended various courses including a one year leadership Programme from University of Pretoria.
